Expand the Canon is a curated, annual list of 8-10 excellent, timely and producible classic plays by a diverse set of women. It is a call to action to make room on stages around the world and within the traditional canon for these plays.

Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre, the creator of Expand the Canon, is a Brooklyn-based company dedicated to elevating the voices of women by reimagining the classics.
