Happy Christmas! Celebrating the home in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

At the end of a year in which we’ve all built new relationships with our home, Dominic Gerrard introduces his performance of A Christmas Carol at The Dickens Museum, filmed by candlelight to a Christmas soundscape. The Dickens Museum is in one of Dickens’ former homes, and Dominic tells us about the ‘trim, bouncy’ nature of A Christmas Carol, and the way the production sees ‘ideas dissolve, fade, refocus’. To our producer’s excitement, a bad lobster also makes an appearance.

This is our final film of the year, and we would like to thank our A Bit Lit audience for tuning in. We didn’t know we’d be setting up this venture until the UK’s first week of lockdown, and now here we are almost 100 films in. See you in the New Year!
